Our Story
Built on the Belief That Understanding Changes Everything
Wellthread was founded on the idea that financial decisions improve when people understand what they are actually doing — and why.
Back to HomeWho We Are
Wellthread — Founded in Singapore, 2011
Wellthread began as a small reading group among colleagues who shared a frustration: financial information was plentiful, but genuine understanding was hard to come by. What started as informal Friday discussions in a Tanjong Pagar conference room grew, over several years, into a structured educational practice.
Our name reflects our philosophy. A thread running through cloth gives it structure without constraining it. We believe financial education should work the same way — providing a framework within which people can make decisions that are truly their own.
Today, Wellthread operates from 16 Collyer Quay, welcoming individuals, couples, and families who want to approach their financial lives with more clarity and intention. Our programmes are developed in-house, revised regularly, and grounded in the actual financial landscape of Singapore.

What Guides Us
Mission & Values
"Our mission is to help people in Singapore develop the financial understanding they need to make decisions that serve their actual lives — not just their balance sheets."
Deliberateness
We design every aspect of our programmes with care — from the structure of individual sessions to the materials participants take home.
Long-term Thinking
We are interested in the habits and frameworks that serve people well over decades, not the tactics that feel urgent today and irrelevant tomorrow.
Honest Dialogue
Money can be a sensitive subject. We create spaces where participants feel comfortable asking any question without judgment or pressure.

Our Standards
How We Operate
MAS-Aligned Education
Our content is developed with reference to Monetary Authority of Singapore guidance on financial literacy, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Participant Privacy
Personal financial information shared during sessions is held in strict confidence. Our privacy practices comply with the Singapore PDPA.
Annual Curriculum Review
Every programme undergoes a formal review each year to reflect changes in Singapore tax policy, CPF regulations, and market conditions.
Small Cohort Policy
We keep group sizes to a maximum of twelve participants so that each person receives meaningful engagement throughout the programme.
Peer Review Process
All new content and case studies are reviewed by at least two team members before inclusion in any programme, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Post-Programme Feedback
Every participant is invited to complete a detailed feedback survey. Responses inform each subsequent curriculum review and improvement cycle.
Financial Education in Singapore — Thoughtfully Delivered
Singapore offers a rich financial environment — CPF, SRS, a wide range of investment vehicles, and a complex insurance landscape. Navigating this well requires more than access to information; it requires the ability to evaluate, compare, and decide with confidence.
At Wellthread, our approach draws on Singapore-specific context throughout. The Art of Budgeting programme addresses the particular shape of household finances in a high-cost-of-living city. Considered Investing engages with asset classes commonly available to Singapore-based individuals. Lifelong Financial Architecture addresses CPF planning, MediShield considerations, and the estate planning frameworks relevant to Singapore residents.
We are not a financial advisory firm and we do not manage funds. Our work is educational: developing the knowledge, skills, and habits that allow people to engage more confidently with financial decisions — whether with a planner, on their own, or in partnership with family members.
